Martín Vasco Gorostiague nació en La Plata un 7 de noviembre de 1961. Cursó estudios secundarios en el colegio Nacional de La Plata. Lic. En Biología (Zoología) egresado en 1986 de la Universidad Nacional de La Plata. Entre mayo de 1979 y agosto de 1980 se realizó un programa piloto en Radio AM Universidad Nacional de La Plata, a cargo de Martín Gorostiague y Sergio Morel, alumnos del Colegio Nacional "Rafael Hernández”. A principios de la década del noventa comenzó sus actividades de investigación, difusión y producción en torno al jazz en Salta. A partir de ese momento organizó y participó de charlas, conferencias, eventos, clínicas y conciertos. Integró el jurado de diversos concursos y convocatorias como referente del estudio del jazz en Salta. Integró la Fundación Jazz Club y fundò El Club Salteño de Jazz dependiente de la Secretarìa de Cultura de la UNSa. Y fue auspiciante y organizador del 1°, 2° y 3° Festival Salteño de Jazz, entre 1996 y 2003. Desde el 2013 hasta el 2023 formó parte del equipo de organización de diez ediciones del “Salta Jazz”. A su vez desde el año 1995 junto a Fabián Ghiglia y Enrique Ghiglia se integra al programa “ “Birdland Jazz” el cual se había iniciado por los antes citados desde 1993 en la radio de la U.N.Sa Comenzó la conducción y producción del ciclo radial “La cocina del jazz”, el mismo se emitió por la FM 93.9 Radio Universidad Nacional de Salta entre los años 2000 y 2011; desde el año 2012 pasó a formar parte de la programación de FM La Plaza, dirigida por Fidel Puggioni hasta la actualidad.
